Heat advisory in effect for Dallas and surrounding North Texas counties

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments for those working outdoors. Anyone experiencing signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke should be moved to a cool, shaded location immediately. Heat stroke is a medical emergency, and 911 should be called if symptoms appear in someone affected.
