Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Sherman, Texas, and nearby Oklahoma counties

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Sherman, Texas, and parts of neighboring Oklahoma on Friday afternoon. The storm, located 4 miles west of Texhoma or 16 miles northeast of Stratford, is moving east at 25 mph and is expected to produce wind gusts up to 60 mph. The warning covers Sherman, Texas, as well as Cimarron and Texas counties in Oklahoma and remains in effect until 5:00 PM CDT.
