Frisco Commons Park to host Bison & Blossoms prairie celebration

Bison & Blossoms, an annual celebration of Frisco's prairies, is held at Frisco Commons Park in Frisco, north of Dallas. The event is hosted by the City of Frisco and the Frisco Garden Club.

Participants can help plant and water a new tree, with recognition by City Council. They can also help seed the prairie with native wildflowers and grasses during a guided Nature Adventure walk.

Organizers say the event is intended to build community awareness of Frisco's urban forests and to encourage support for conserving forests and restoring the Blackland Prairie.
