Crime in Westerhope and Newburn: 96 offences recorded in July 2026

96 crimes were recorded in and around Westerhope and Newburn in July 2026, according to figures published by Northumbria Police. That is up by 22 on the 74 recorded the month before.

The most common reports were:

Anti social behaviour: 25 reports (26% of the total) Shoplifting: 21 reports (22% of the total) Burglary: 13 reports (14% of the total) Violent crime: 13 reports (14% of the total) Public order: 6 reports (6% of the total)
